Company announcements people actually see
"Didn't see the message" is the most honest sentence in any company. The announcement about Friday's holiday was real; it just lived in a chat channel where 40 messages buried it by lunch.
The placement trick
There is exactly one screen every employee opens every working day: the one with the clock-in button. Teamdott puts announcements there — on the portal, beside the thing nobody skips.

Small features, outsized effect
- Pinning. The payroll-date change stays on top until HR unpins it; routine notes scroll normally.
- Authorship and timestamps. Every notice shows who posted it and when — accountability without ceremony.
- Scoped permission. Posting is its own grant in HR team & access, so the office manager can publish the parking notice without being able to open payroll.
- No reply-all. Announcements are notices, not a channel — the holiday notice cannot become a 30-message thread about parking.
Rule of thumb: chat is for conversation, announcements are for record. "The office closes at 2pm on the 24th" is a record. The moment it needs discussion, that discussion has a thread — and the notice still stands.
