Leave management without the paperwork (or the guilt)
In companies under fifty people, leave is usually managed by vibes: a message to the boss, a thumbs-up, and three weeks later nobody remembers whether that Friday was paid. Then payroll month-end becomes archaeology.
The whole loop in one place
- Employees request from their portal — date, hours (full or half day), paid or sick, and a reason.
- Approvers see a queue in the HR console with everything they need on one row: who, when, how long, why, and how much paid leave they have left.
- One click approves or declines. The decision is recorded with the approver's name.

Approved means handled everywhere
The moment a request is approved, it stops being a note and becomes data: the day shows as On leave on the Today screen, fills the right cell in the timesheet, and is paid (or not) correctly in payroll — paid-leave hours up to your monthly cap at the hourly rate, unpaid hours simply unpaid. No one transcribes anything.
Fairness by default
A monthly paid-leave allowance (say, 16 hours) is set once in Rates & rules and enforced by arithmetic, not awkward conversations. Half-day requests exist because dentists exist. And because approvals carry names and timestamps, "you never approved it" arguments simply end.
